Elevation Models
Digital Terrain Models (DTM) is a topographic model of the bare Earth that can be manipulated. The data files contain the elevation data of the terrain in a digital format which relates to a rectangular grid. Vegetation, buildings, and other features are removed digitally leaving only the underlying terrain. DTMs are used frequently in civil engineering, geodesy &, surveying, geophysics, geography, and remote sensing. Filtered DTM can be delivered in LAS, xyz, dxf, dwg, csv or any other client requested format.
Digital Surface Models (DSM) are geo referenced regular grid datasets representing the first reflected surface detected by the sensor and will include surface features such as vegetation and man-made objects.
Tree Canopy Cover
LAS product where vegetation is extracted from the full classified dataset. This product is useful for vegetation health, growth, and density analysis. Vegetation models can be delivered on ground terrain or as a normalised product. A normalised product depicts vegetation on normalised ground (i.e. ground data has been flattened giving no height differences due to terrain).
Stock-pile Volumes
A LiDAR survey provides a more accurate volume calculation than what can be achieved by traditional surveying methods and significantly reduces the safety risks associated with having personnel on-site.
