LIDAR technology allows you to capture high-resolution, high-accuracy, extremely dense point clouds of scanned areas and objects. It is of value in many applications such as topographic survey, infrastructure, forestry, Mining or digital twin mapping. Any process that requires an accurate 3D representation of an area is a process that can benefit greatly from LIDAR technology. LIDAR’s unique abilities beyond photogrammetry are numerous and include an ability to penetrate vegetation, operate regardless of light, collect data at 360 degrees including vertical structures and achieve returns from surfaces of low visual contrast.

LIDAR technology can be either geo referenced using Post-Processing Kinematic PPK or referenced with SLAM for GPS denied environments. This combination allows the operation at varying flight altitudes and is therefore ideally suited for the aerial survey of complex terrain.
